We just traded in our Sear canister of many years for a Hoover Wind Tunnel Bagless Canister. It is compact, lighter weight than our old one, and works great on our Saltillo tile floors. The dust cup is easy to clean, which is good because we have five animals in the house. I really like the extra wide, lightweight special hard floor attachment.
Only bad thing is that the upholstery brush that came with the machine is dinky. I saved and use my old one from the Sears vacuum. It fits on the hose just fine. Also, I cannot really speak about the basic rug vacuum attachment, since I have not used it. Dont have any rugs now. (Simplify, simplify).
Overall, we think this machine is great!
I bought this vacuum cleaner two months ago when I got a puppy. It has strong suction and I find it to be really good for removing pet hair. The only thing I wish it had is an indicator to tell you when the container is full.
I really wanted to get a Dyson, but the price was just too much. Read the reviews on this vacuum, and decided to give it a go. I haven't had a new vac in years, and the features on this model are wonderful. The cord retracts with the touch of a button. Power on and off, floor/carpet button and suction control are all on the vac handle. It's easy to clean the dirt out of the container, and it pulls out a LOT of dirt! Some of the other reviewers commented that it was a little noisy. Since I had such an old vac which was very noisy, this thing sounds quiet to me! It's a great vacuum at a great price.
We used to have a Dyson upright for about 3 years and then it gave out - poor suction. This time we decided to get a bagless canister model because the upright was a pain on stairs, and we live in a 3 story condo. We looked at Dyson again, but spending over $500 on a vacuum was a stretch, especially on one that wasn't going to last a decade or so. In my research I came across this WindTunnel, and it appeared to have everything the Dyson had, and several other features the Dyson didn't, such as an extra pet brush, lights, etc. And since it cost $209 on Amazon, that sealed it for me.
I have to say that even if the price was equal for the two bagless canisters, I still think that the Windtunnel wins out, but considering that you can get two and a half WindTunnels for the price of the Dyson, the choice is very easy.
Great little vac with ample power and accessories, at a cost far below the Bentleys.
It's a good product, all that you can expect about it is in there. A perfect soundless vacuum machine is still a dream in the human kind, but this product is kind of close to that.
The title kind of makes you think what happened to the first one huh!!!!! Well, I am a clean freak and I have Used my wind Tunnel nearly Every day for the last 3 years, and it just started going wrong about two weeks ago. The elctronics have started to go bad in the handle (Through fault of my own as I had many times lets the handle fall to my tiled floor with a bang!) So here I am buying the exact same Vacuum, because I love it so much. I have two dogs and two kids, and the Wind Tunnel has been brilliant. Its amazing how much it picks up. You can vacuume your carpet twice, empty the canister, and then go over again, and it still picks loads up! (OK that sounds bad too, because I bet you are thinking it should have picked it all up the first time...but it gets way deep into the fibers of your carpet) Theres no comparison. Way better than any dyson I have used for sure. I personally think the Dyson is over priced and way inferior to this little machine!
Great vacuum! It really does pick up the cat hair! I love it. You can't go wrong buying this cleaner. For the price and free shipping, I am very happy!
Never thought I would love my vaccuum sweeper, but I do. Inherited an old Kenmore from my father when he passed away and that's what I was using for WAY too long. This Wintunnel made my carpet look new the first time I used it. Ease of switching from carpet to wood floors right on the handle is wonderful! The filter keeps my air clean while using. I used to be able smell dirt with my old one. Yuck!! So very happy with my new Hoover!!
Is a very, very good vacuum, I use a lot for bare floor and it's the best I ever had. Suck really good rugs and carpet also. If you buy it you won't regret.
